Skills needed for consideration:
The ability to calculate, administer and monitor anesthesia, place catheters, draw blood from both cephalic and jugular veins, set up and read cytology, restrain animals of all types and behaviors, assist the veterinarian during patient exams, draw and administer vaccines, other duties as needed.
Other duties expected of lead technician:
Mediate conflicts with clients as well as support team members, Daily supervision of all technical personnel and CSR in the absence of the Hospital Manager or Hospital Administrator, Monitor employee timecards and overall performance Ensure daily tasks and treatments are getting done quickly, efficiently, and correctly, Maintain a safe and secure working environment, Be present and accessible in the Hospital, Ensure compliance with protocols regarding patient care and medical records, Motivate and inspire the technician team to provide high-quality care to patients and clients, Perform weekly inventory and place orders for all medical supplies and medications, Monitor all controlled logbooks on a daily basis.
