Sr. Director, Demand Planning

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Understand the market dynamics of seasonality, competitive activity, trends, ad plans, category role, sales objectives, sales drivers and life cycle plans Track demand plan accuracy and consumption to merchandising plans and financial targets Provide demand plan input into S&OP process Provide input to S&OP process based on consumption where demand shaping strategies should be employed Oversee validation of purchase requisitions up to the point of conversion. Work with Supply planning to adjust plans for opportunities and constraints Provide oversight for Planning for all channels Work closely with Customer Service to ensure order book adheres to buying calendar guidelines Proactively advise senior management of any channel-specific purchasing anomalies and/or opportunities observed while executing demand needs for the various business groups. Hold regularly scheduled forecast and buy meetings QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A minimum of 12 years of successful experience in demand or supply planning in wholesale or retail environment preferably in a multi-channel, global environment Sound business judgment and strong planning and allocation skills; experience in specialty footwear is a plus The candidate must combine a working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy SAP/MRP experiencepreferred Must possess a solid understanding of and comfort with business intelligence tools. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope; must be able to act decisively in implementing solutions through the team actions. Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a surrounding of continual change; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment. Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
